HeMateMe: Brando's kid got out of jail some time ago, he did a couple of nickels, for murder.

Michael Douglas's son is in jail for several years, was selling drugs.

technical draw: Someone was stealing my wifi. I couldn't find a way to disconnect them so I stuck my modem in a microwave oven. No signals can go through those walls! Everything will be ok as long as I don't turn the microwave on.
Jul-13-12  Petrosianic: Unplugging the modem is a pretty easy way to do it.

technical draw: <Petrosianic>< Unplugging the modem is a pretty easy way to do it.> Not if you want to use it yourself.
Jul-13-12  Petrosianic: How are you using it yourself if it's in the microwave? Is the door half open, and a cable coming out?

I'd still try unplugging it for a minute to disconnect them. They might not bother re-connecting, if they think you're down.

Do you have a router, or just a modem? One easy way to keep people from connecting is to change your WEP password. Another way is to set up an allowed list, so that only computers with pre-specificed MAC addresses are allowed to connect. That, plus a new WEP key will keep all but the most determined and sophisticated hackers out.

Jul-13-12  Petrosianic: You know, wrapping it in platinum foil won't keep hackers out, but it will keep the Zeenak from destroying the galaxy (and I defy anyone to tell me what that means without googling it).

Yep, almost completely closed. It's a broken MW. Anyway that idea is short lived because the heat buildup could ruin the modem. I'll try your other hints as soon as I remember the passwords. Thanks.

technical draw: TD's Things I've learned in life #162:

Averages don't mean squat.

If the life expectancy of a US male is 74 years that means that a whole stack of men have died BEFORE 74 years. The dreaded Bell Curve strikes again!

Jul-13-12  MarkFinan: Hey <shams>..

Hypothetical situation...

You're a world famous musician, loved by the whole world...

An American wins the WCC (I know I know far fetched at the moment, just go with It, lol)

You want to send him a present, a gift, something that says congrats, well done.. You're just trying to be nice (I know, I know, hard to Imagine you being nice!)

What would you personally send him ??

If It were me.... I'd send the guy something associated with chess..

If not a beautiful and expensive chess set, I'd send him something to do with the game, at least.... I'm not gonna send him a tennis racket, or a baseball now, am I ?

Unless your wife was available for the night, I think It's safe to say a chess set would be a nice gift from one bloke to another, considering they never met each other... Would you not agree thats a nice gift??

:D
