| Sep-02-12 | | cormier: The Hague, Netherlands, based court is the world’s first permanent war crimes tribunal and has been in operation for 10 years. So far it has launched prosecutions only in Africa, including in Sudan, Congo, Libya and Ivory Coast. Tutu has long been a staunch critic of the Iraq war, while others opposed to the conflict — including playwright Harold Pinter — have previously called for Bush and Blair to face prosecution at the Hague. “The then-leaders of the U.S. and U.K. fabricated the grounds to behave like playground bullies and drive us further apart. They have driven us to the edge of a precipice where we now stand — with the spectre of Syria and Iran before us,” said Tutu, who last week withdrew from a conference in South Africa due to Blair’s presence at the event. |

 |
| Sep-02-12 | | Wayne Proudlove: It turns out the character's name is Tommy Pischedda and here's a great outtake I just saw myself for the first time where the band members smoke him up and he serenades them in his underwear with a pizza crust for a microphone:

 | | HeMateMe: Ritchie Sambora is a mediocre musician, and a drug addict. He's lucky he met Jon Bon Jovi, as a young guy. |
 |
| Sep-02-12 | | Wayne Proudlove: Richie's good people. |

 | | HeMateMe: He's a drunk |

| Sep-02-12 | | Wayne Proudlove: You can be a drunk and still a good person. |

 | | HeMateMe: If you drag a successful band down, you aren't much of a person. I believe Sambora was in and out of rehab quite a bit, and slowed down the recording of new music and hurt the touring schedule. I didn't say he was Satan. I only said he was a mediocre musician, and couldn't stay clean. There are certainly worse people out there. Promoters, for one... |

 | | HeMateMe: Pete Townshend is writing his memoirs. That could be quite good; he's seen and done a lot. The auto bio by Ray Davies of the Kinks, I think called <X-Ray> was pretty good, came out a long time ago. A Dave Gilmour and/or Roger Waters book would be terrific. Syd Barett passed away a few years ago, so I suppose we won't be hearing from him. I guess a Bruce Springsteen book will come out some day. Just trying to think of aging USA rockers who have a story to tell. Bob Dylan, certainly, but he would need massive editorial help to get coherent paragraphs strung together. |

 | | Travis Bickle: <HeMateMe> Bob Dylan has already put out a partial biography covering certain years of his career. The book was called Chronicles Volume I and it was released in 2004. http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/074... |
