HeMateMe: Read the <Buddy Guy> autobiography, that came out pretty recently. Chock full of good stories of people in the blues, real behind the scenes happenings, Buddy's journey from small town Louisianna to Chicago, where he still lives.

HeMateMe: <"Travelin' Band"-- best drumwork in any CCR song?>

May I submit <Keep on Chooglin> from CCR's double live in Europe album? Hard rock, many tempo changes. It's a "bathroom side". The radio jocks, back in the days of vinyl, had to pick an album with a live side 4, when they had to do a 2. They might need 15 or so minutes on the throne, so they used certain records for this function.

They picked this side 4, or Frampton comes alive, Skynerd, Led Zep-- Moby Dick, Allman's Mountain Jam.

Travis Bickle: Here is The Oakland performance that <HeMateMe> mentioned earlier. The quality isn't as good but the performance is of a higher energy by CCR. At Woodstock Creedence followed The Greatful Dead and the Dead played way past their time allotment, leaving Creedence waiting around in the middle of the night.

The pickup drum roll at the end of most lines in Who'll Stop the Rain is incredibly effective while understated. Keith Moon is far better than any other drummer, but Cosmo was right there at the head of the next group.

<At Woodstock Creedence followed The Greatful Dead and the Dead played way past their time allotment, leaving Creedence waiting around in the middle of the night.>

John Fogerty never got over that. He claimed that the whole crowd was asleep and that he essentially played the whole set for the one person who was awake.

Benzol: I've always thought Brian Bennett was a pretty good drummer. Others that have impressed include Ringo, Graeme Edge and Mel Pritchard.
