<50...b2?!> is inaccurate; instead after <50...Rb4!> 51.Rc5+ Kd3 52.Rd5+ Ke2 53.Re5+ Kf2 54.Rf5+ Kg2 Black wins

<52.Kh5?> throws the the game away just when he could have secured a draw. It is hard to see why Blackburne did not play <52.Kg5=>; one continuation being:

<52...Kc3> 53.Kf5 Rc6 54.g5 Kd4 55.g6 Kd5 56.g7 Rc8 57.Kf6 Kd6 58.Kf7 Rc7+ 59.Kg8 Rc1 60.Kf7 Rf1+ 61.Kg6 =
