Jul-13-07		imag: These pawn endings can be very tricky. I think 41...h4 was winning for Black.

Jul-14-07		Chessical: <41...h4!> does seem to be the winning move. Two illustrative lines being: <42.Ke3> Kd6 43.f4 g4 44.hxg4 fxg4 45.f5 Ke5 46.c5 Kxf5 47.c6 Ke6 48.Kf4 g3 49.c7 Kd7 50.c8(Q)Kxc8 51.Kf3 g2 52.Kxg2 Kc7 or, <42.c5> g4 43.fxg4 fxg4 44.hxg4 h3 45.c6 h2 46.c7 h1(Q) 47.c8(Q)+ Blackburne's 35th move shows, I believe, that he wanted to win, as instead <35.Qb6> secures the draw in a game in which he did not have any real advantage as white. <36.Nxe4?> loses as he cannot stop the K-side pawn advance.
