Jan-06-09  YoungEd: Bird's Defense to the Ruy is one of those openings that beats me when I play against it and kills me when I play it myself. It works out fine here! When did you ever see a ♖-lift as early as move 11? Gotta give Bird points for creativity if nothing else. White's 41. ♘e6 just drops a piece, but his ♔ was already unsafe.
