Perhaps made overconfident by such timid play, Pillsbury goes for a pleasing exchange combination 23 Rxf7 which succeeds brilliantly when both sides miss an unlikely counter attack. Black could have played 25...Rxg2+ 26 Kxg2 Nf4+ 27 Kh1 Nxe6 28 Nd6 Ng5!
