tamar: Walbrodt dithers in the opening, which leads to a terrifying initiative for Pillsbury.

Perhaps made overconfident by such timid play, Pillsbury goes for a pleasing exchange combination 23 Rxf7 which succeeds brilliantly when both sides miss an unlikely counter attack.

Black could have played 25...Rxg2+ 26 Kxg2 Nf4+ 27 Kh1 Nxe6 28 Nd6 Ng5! (28...Re7 is not as good, the knight move keeps White on his heels) 29 Qg4 Rf8 30 h4 Nf3 31 h5 b6 32 d5 and the game is even! 0.00/24 Rybka 3
