Aug-06-05  offramp: Very funny!! The game begins 1.d4 Nf6 but after 6.Bb5 it has become a Ruy Lopez!

I can imagine Nimzowitsch looking up and saying, "Berger, you swindler; I don't play those old-fashioned openings!'

  Phony Benoni: It's sort of disappointing that they didn't play the ending out. You don't see B+2N with no pawns vs. R+3P every day, and you might think that Berger, a renowned endgame expert, would have been interested in seeing what would happen.
