16...gxh5 looks weak to me too, but he's got to do something. That's not a very powerful pawn on h7.

Kmoch had been tied for first coming into this game. Afterward, he won his next five and coasted to victory in the tournament. Apparently, he just decided to get all his bad moves out of the way in one game.

Sep-29-11  TheTamale: I would even say what was the point of 14) ...g6? It seems to accomplish nothing except to weaken the king side.
