radu stancu: Black's apparently dangerous attack against white's king dies very fast, and then white goes all out on both flanks... It's interesting to see how he moves the pawns in front of his king in order to attack while black doesn't have the power to exploit this! Moeller plays a little bit 'computer-like': no fear for his king, attacks on both flanks, opening the position as if knowing he can calculate better... I wonder who he was, since his record isn't that good, but still there's this win against Nimzowitsch! (He also wins against Rubinstein but it's because Rubinstein doesn't go for the draw, and against Selezniev - who ever heard of him?!)
Jun-13-05  Poulsen: His name is attached to the Moeller-attack in Giuoco Piano (9.d5)

A known player already around 1897. Hard to judge his strenght, but he did play some of the stronger players of his time - Lasker, Schlechter, Maroczy, Reti, Spielmann, Tartakower and several other - generally with poor result.

There seems to have been flourishing chess-enviroment in Copenhagen and nearby swedish cities in the later part of 19th-century and the early 20th-century - and Moeller was a part of that.

However this enviroment didn't produce a world class name until Larsen emerged.
