Nov-02-04  vonKrolock: At a first sight, Bogo went wrong whith 31...Nh7??, overlooking a nice petite-combinaison... But this is a titanic game, deserving "Years of fervorous analysis", to quote J. Timman referring to a selection of significant clashes...

Gypsy: The final unkind point is 46.~ Re2#; even 46.Ke4 Re2# comes to the same.
Dec-21-07  RookFile: Bogo really hit the flohr in this one.

Gypsy: Bogo did not do that well against the young (AVRO) players of the 30's:

Bogo - Flohr +2 -5 =1
Bogo - Keres +0 -4 =5
Bogo - Botvinnik +0 -1 =0
Bogo - Fine +0 -1 =1
Bogo - Reschevsky +0 -1 =0

Total: +2 -12 =6

Moreover, the two wins against Flohr are from Bled, 1931, when Flohr was playing for the first time at a really big international tournament. Otherwise, just 12 loses and 6 draws for Bogo against these five.

Dec-21-07  RookFile: Well, Bogo lost his games in equal opportunity fashion, as the old guard, Lasker, Capa, and Alekhine, put 47 victories up on the board against him.
Dec-21-07  slomarko: Bogo was a patzer
Dec-22-07  CapablancaFan: I refer to him as "Bogo the clown."
