  plang: This is the first game in the database with 8 Nxd4!? although Ivanchuk didn't notate the move as an innovation. It doesn't seem to lead to an advantage for White. Anand could have tried 21..b6!? trying to take advantage of the White bishop on a7 though Ivanchuk gave detailed analysis showing that the complications were not unfavorable for White.
