TheFocus: This game is from a blindfold simultaneous exhibition in Paris, France on February 25, 1923 at the Cercle Philidor.

Alekhine scored + 11=1-0.

See <La Strategie 1923>, pg. 64.

Feb-12-18  PatrickGJr: Alekhine really closed the position aT 16.) with BxKnif5

What about 16.) DxE6, FxF6 isolating the pawn, keeping the position rather still open to strike at the king then continuing with 17.) KniE4 and if they play H6 then they weaken H6 and if they don't they allow, 18.) Knifg5 opening a window for the queen to make the way to the king's side of the board if need be but more place immediate pressure upon the weakened E6 square space.
