Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-20-03  oblivion95: Move 9 is just a blunder. This game doesn't really belong in the database.

9.BxN+ at least regains the pawn.

For fun short games by Alekhine, see Alekhine in the Americas, or Alekhine in Europe.

Similarly, The Unknown Capablanca, and The Unknown Bobby Fischer.

I like the games against weak competition. I think I learn the most from seeing how a master crushes and average player.

Sep-21-03  Sylvester: Was this a tournament game or an exhibition?
Nov-02-03  Lawrence: I don't agree that games with these terrible blunders shouldn't be in this database. There may be other very highclass databases of games played by masters which do not have these silly errors but I far prefer this one, which is fun and interesting.

Phony Benoni: In fairness to Colin, this was the last round of a 15-round tournament played on fifteen consecutive days. You never make a last round blunder?

Colin finished 13th with a score of 5/15, including the following win: B Colin vs Sultan Khan, 1932
