  patzer2: Black's efficient play in this Vienna Opening looks good for a draw, but not much more.

Perhaps the Vienna is a good choice for lower rated players, who are happy to draw with higher rated players. Pushing too hard as a black can be dangerous for the second player, and safe play looks drawish.

Yet, against a lower rated player, as is the case here, choosing the Vienna may be inappropriate.
