Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-11-04  Resignation Trap: Vishy blunders horribly with 99...Kf8??, when he must lose his Bishop to avoid mate.
Apr-29-05  sharkbenjamin: Kamsky shows a lot of detemination. I believe Anand thought he had an advantage.Anand let his guard down.
Apr-29-05  your brilliance: Would 99..Ke8 have saved black? It is still not clear how he can advance either his b or g pawn, and he has the back rank to worry about now.
Jun-07-05  DanRoss53: 98... g3 was the first mistake as Black's won position was turned into a draw (99. Rb7+ Ke8 100. Rb8+ Ke7 101. Rb7+ Ke8 102. Rb8+ Ke7 103. Rb7+ ½-½); 99... Kf8 only made things worse. Better would have been 98... f6+ 99. Kd4 g3 to hold the advantage for Black.
Jan-28-06  Jim Bartle: Was this played without an adjournment?
