  Open Defence: I like the move 11 .. Bd5 but what if Black plays 11 .. Q x g5 ?
Oct-22-03  yorkebrazil: If 11..Qxg5 12. Qf3 Bd7 13. Qxf7#
a great line too is 11.. dxc3 12. dxc3 Qd3
Oct-22-03  skakmiv: yorkebrazil: In your first line, does black need to play Bd7?

Open Defence: yorkebrazil - the dxc3 variation came in for some booty kickin' in the Kasparov-Anand match don't think it recovered after the 14Bc2 novelty and the rook sac 15Nb3!

  Honza Cervenka: <yorkebrazil> 11...Qxg5 12.Qf3 Bd7 13.Qxf7+ is not a mate as black King can retreat to d8. Better is 13.Bxf7+ Ke7 14.Bd5 Nxe5 15.Qe2 d3 16.Qe1 c6 17.f4 Qg6 18.Bf3 with advantage of white.
Nov-28-04  aw1988: 11...Bd5?! 12. Nxf7! Kxf7 13. Qf3+ Ke6 14. Qg4+! Ke7 15. e6! Bxe6 16. Re1 with an attack.
Feb-20-05  Billage: Is it possible to come out of this opening with any chance of winning (as black) if the person playing white responds to 11...Qxg5 or 11...Bd5?! correctly? I haven't found anything good for black in this position.

Any way to prevent it?

Feb-20-05  Billage: Try 11...Qe7
