suenteus po 147: Bagirov's kingside castle on move 24 took guts. It makes a kind of sense, I guess, because he's transferred his attack to White's kingside, but man, there's nothing over there when he castles. I also dig 12...Nce7. It keeps the knight outpost solid.

Mating Net: Truer words were never written <suenteus po 147>, Black's King is naked as a jay bird. That has to be one of the gutsiest 0-0 moves I've seen from the lack of a pawn shield point of view. Wait a second, it was Bagirov, makes perfect sense.

ganstaman: I know these kibitzings are old, but I think we can have some sort of contest for gutsiest castling. Seeing these comments here made me think of this game: Tartakower vs Spielmann, 1913

It's a close call, but I'm inclined to give Tartakower first place so far.

When you say <Wait a second, it was Bagirov, makes perfect sense.>, does that mean that Bagirov is insane, or just terrific at defense?

ganstaman: <ughaibu>Wow, thanks. I posted a question there in case you have the answer. All this crazy castling is making my head spin. I should start a game collection just to keep track. Hmmm, actually, I am going to do that.
