  Knight13: 19... Bxc5 is better.

Lucky skewer for Bird.

fred lennox: The problem with 19...Bxc5 is 20.Nxc5...Nf5 (forced) 21.g4 and the knight has no place to go.
Aug-13-06   sneaky pete: After 19... Bxc5 20.Nxc5 Nf5 21.g4 .. the knight may go to d6 or e7, but if white plays 21. a4 .. where can the poor bishop go?

Instead of 20... Bb5? black should have played 20... c5(Staunton).

Young Master Henry ("I remember him well, when he first came to the Divan in 1846, a pretty-faced boy in a jacket, blue-eyed, fair haired, and rosy-cheeked." - S.S.Boden) played very Nimzowitschian here.
