Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-08-05  paladin at large: Blackburne wastes time with 21....Qc4 whereupon Marshall steadily improves his position. It looks as though Marshall learned something from Capablanca, the way he finished off the old tactician.

Chessical: Chessical: Blackburn plays in the style of Chigorin. He obviously wanted a fighting game, but was to castle on opposite side the best alternative?

<16... O-O-O> 17. Nb3 Qa4 18. c5 Kb8 19. Nc3 Qc4 20. f3 seems better.

In the actual game, I don't agree that with <paladin at large> that : <"Blackburne wastes time with 21....Qc4">.

The problem appears to be that in not exchanging Queens on the 18th move, Blackburne lost an opportunity to gain equality
