Kibitzer's Corner
May-27-05  paladin at large: It doesn't look pretty for Black after 8.....Kf8 but he does thwart any attempts by white to attack kingside, even after 14. 0-0-0. White's 29. Qc5 and 30. d7+ initially look strong, but are faulty because the black king is forced to a good square at g7 whereby the black rooks are linked and the black king places pressure on the white knight, forcing an exchange of queens. Black's king is then safe and white remains the exchange down. Reliable endgame play by Maroczy.

Honza Cervenka: 49.Nc6 is quite pretty move but it doesn't save white due to possibility 49...Rf8. Interesting game.
