Calli: Flohr had his problems at AVRO. He has a won game here but plays 38.d6? which allows the Black king into the game(Kf7!). Any reasonable like Ke3 then advancing the queenside pawns would be a routine win. Time pressure maybe.

Gypsy: Time pressure, but of a different kind. In 1938 Nazzi Germany was advancing on Czechoslovakia, Flohr's home. He, already a jewish survivor of pogroms as a child, was desperately trying to find a safe place to escape to with his wife. It must have been very hard for Flohr to concentrate on chess games at such times.
