Dec-31-06
 | | greensfield: Didn't even consider the move played 20...Raxa1. Starting moves considered were 20...Be5, hxg3, & Ncd7. So missed this one |

 | | playground player: I was about as far from solving this puzzle as I am from being elected Pope. |
Dec-31-06
 | | awfulhangover: Crazy. My tiny little dumb brain wasn't close to thinking of the right moves. |
| Dec-31-06 | | aldehyde: oh man, what a match. well, i got the start pretty well, but i ignored the d6 and f2 pawns. i was still wandering for a piece advantage. pretty sad for me. but whatever, just look at the board at the end. black wiped out almost all whities that began with a small sac. KOOOL |

| Dec-31-06 | | Archives: Missed this one by a mile. |

 | | tallinn: As several have pointed out the position I played against Fritz indeed lacked the white pawn on e4. Thank you for the correction. And I failed the "setup a position after watching it 5 minutes" test miserably :-) Looks like still a long way to go to achieve GM performance at least in this discipline :-) |
| Jan-01-07 | | hitman84: Great game by Bronstein! |
Jan-01-07
 | | kevin86: Bronstein's twentieth move turns white's stable position into a pile of manure.lol |
| Aug-14-07 | | wolfmaster: Great puzzle. |
Jul-19-10
 | | Ulhumbrus: It seems worth noting that at move 17 Bronstein chooses to play his Queen's Knight to f8 and not to e5. This suggests that White's choices before then have provided better for the consequences of the move 17....Ne5 than they have provided well for the consequences of the move 17...Nf8. |

 | | Bobsterman3000: wocka wocka wocka
Bronstein eats all of Pachman's pawns... |
| Jul-19-10 | | howlwolf: phonybony, You are quite right Zita Vs bronstein game displays the same tactical device Which works almost as in his game against Pachmen except Bronstien gets to fork a queen and rook in the latter instance. Bronstien plays some of the most interesting chess of the last fifty-sixty years and thanks to this website and some of the people who prowl it I get to enjoy and analyze
some of his most creative games and hopefully learning some new ideas for my own play. |
| Jul-26-10 | | chesswonder: why white doesnt play 13.b4??... |
| Jul-26-10 | | I play the Fred: Good question. |
| Jul-26-10 | | nummerzwei: < chesswonder: why white doesnt play 13.b4??...> Maybe he didn't like 13...a3. |
Aug-06-10
 | | Ulhumbrus: On 23...Nxa1 instead of 23...Qxf2 White's Rook on d6 pins the c6 pawn on the sixth rank to Black's Queen, and so White is able to play Nd5, which may be why Bronstein plays instead 23...Qxf2. Bronstein ends up however with four pawns for the exchange. |
