Jun-27-06   mack: Honestly, everyone knows you can't try interesting things like fiachettoed bishops against the Scandinavian, it's sole purpose is to make the game as crude and ugly as soon as possible.

  IMlday: Indeed I played very weakly here. 4.g3 sucked and 6.d4 was even worse. Last round morning games were never my strong suit; shame to waste the White in a team event though.
Jun-28-06   mack: Oh, I wasn't suggesting you played badly per se; just that this game was a prime example of how bloody horrible the Scandinavian is. Interesting chess vs 1...d5? Forget it!
