McCool: When an amateur is matched against a master, it seems a good idea for the amateur to exchange as many pieces as possible to rule out unpleasent complications. But this policy may easily backfire, as the master is adept at extracting a winning advantage from quite simplified position.
Dec-30-06  Happypuppet: I was always told the exact opposite; complicate the position so much that both players are equally likely to make mistakes.
Jun-09-12  PeaceRequiresAnarchy: I play every game as if I am playing the best. Thus, playing a master is no different.
