Apr-06-09   rjsolcruz: Naranja was then working for MERALCO's computer department. In MERRALCO's 106th Foundation Day dubbed as INTENSITY 106 where GM Torre delivered the opening remarks, IM Naranja was voted as one of MERALCO CHESS HALL OF FAMERS together with GM Balinas, NM Cabrido, NM Lobigas, NM Aguila and NM Cabellon.

After the ceremonies, 5 NMs (Cabellon, Bagamasbad, Andador, Vasquez and Legaspi ) and RP 10-Under Champ Pau Bersamina played blitz and simuls with everybody. There were 106 games in all and 4 winners; junior player Earl Cabugao, Ricky Tan, Jay Dicen, Danny Degollado.
