Compound Error: White inadvertently gives away his light squared bishop, failing to see the danger of black's light squared bishop at a6 on white's king. Pushing the c4 pawn checks white, then marches through b2, a1, with promotion... so white's bishop must defend and be sacrificed.White, in effect, was wrong to take the bait on move 9.

keypusher: keypusher: 6.0-0 and 6.Nc3 are the popular choices according to Opening Explorer. 7.Bb3 looks wrong to me, but Fedorov played it once, so how bad can it be? Maybe 9.Na3 would be better.

Black's 18th move is pretty cool!
