Aug-28-04		wall: Maybe White should get his other knight on the kingside with 17.Ne2 instead of 17.Ng5. 18.Nh3 doesn't look best. Perhaps 18.Rf3 or 18.Be2 or 18.Rae1 are better choices. Instead of the game move 20.Rae1, maybe 20.Rf3 and 20.Raf1.

Dec-03-04		buscher07: What about 20.g4 ? It could lead to an intersting position because there is not a really great spot for the knight to go to.

Dec-03-04		Knezh: as a matter of fact i think after 20.g4 Nf4! looks good. If white beats on f4 twice, then black transfers the night to e5 via d7 and e4 pawn is pinned. So there is definitely enough compensation.

Apr-03-06		sneaky pete: Even better after 20.g4? .. would be 20... Nxe4 and if 21.Qxe7 Nf2++ 22.Kg1 Nxh3#.

Jul-09-09		shadowfold: Disclaimer: I'm a genuine patzer - ...I've looked at this game for a while, and cannot seem to figure out why the players agreed to a draw. Any ideas?

Jan-01-12		Zugzwangovich: <shadowfold> It may have been because it was the last round of a swiss tournament and by drawing they both finished with 7-3 scores and got a $59 share of prize money--nothing to sneeze at in 1956, especially for the 13-year-old Fischer.
