Gregor Samsa Mendel: Which means that 29 Rd2 was a massive blunder.
Feb-07-06  morpstau: 29. Rd2??? has to be one of the worst blunders by a master, what an oversight.

  ketchuplover: He's my idol :)
Sep-11-09  jerseybob: I wouldn't be too hard on 29.Rd2. Of course it's a blunder, but white's game is just barely holding together, with weak pawns, an endangered king and an inviting black-square superhighway for black's king to invade during an ending. Fischer would've eventually found a win.
Sep-11-09  AnalyzeThis: Yes, I agree. The other day, we were look at a game where Hans Ree lost to Petrosian in less than 10 moves.
Mar-03-12  screwdriver: I agree, what a most unusual back rank mate.
Mar-04-12  King Death: Even after the better move 29.g3 Qb4 White's queenside's under a lot of pressure and he probably saw this. Blunders can come in these circumstances with the clock ticking and no engine there to steer somebody away.
