drukenknight: Wow! Geller desperately hanging on in a bad position. He tries to get pressure on the K with those Q moves but it's no use.

What if 39...Bc5? pinning the f pawn and threatening Rg3. maybe worth a shot in a desperate situation.

drukenknight: TYPO ALERT....38...Bc5 sorry, I was wondering how stupid I am after you took my Q, but I do remember last night moving the B before Geller had moved the h pawn. Sorry for the typo, it was late.

  Cyphelium: Yes, I thought that it must be a typo. Anyway, 38.- Bc5 39. Qa8+ does not seems so good either. Black has to retreat with 39.- Bf8 (39.- Kf7 40. Qe8+ Kf6 41. Re6+ Qxe6 42. Qxe6 mate.), but then 40. Re8 Qf7 41. Rae1 with the threat of 42. Rxf8 Qxf8 43. Re8 is very annoying.

drukenknight: surely black is going to give check before all that....? 40 Re8 Rg3+ yes? I have not calculated it, but....

  Cyphelium: <druken> After 38.- Bc5 39. Qa8+ Bf8 40. Re8 Rg3+ 41. fxg3 Qxg3+ 42. Qg2 black doesn't even have a check. (If he doesn't want to give up his queen, that is.)

drukenknight: yeah, I totally forgot the B was back there. Maybe Bc5 should come much earlier, gonna put this down for now.
