| pawntificator: I don't see any ones and twos either. However, I think white taking that knight was not the best move. How does 17 Qg3 look? It looks extremely complicated to me, but I think white has good chances. Then again, so does black... hmm. |

| Calli: Paulsen evidently didn't realize the trouble he was in when he played 19.0-0-0. He could possibly escape with 19.Bxf7+ Kxf7 20.Qb3+ (gets the Q out of the line of fire) Be6 (looks forced) 21.Nxe6 Bxd2+ 22.Nxd2 Rxe6+ 23.Kd1 with not a great position but he alive. |

| BeautyInChess: I downloaded the pgn and figured out what happen. The chesstutor version of this game keeps white's rook on h1. If there had been a rook on h1 then white's 30th move should have been Qh4 threatening mate and winning. |

| Once: Amazing that a theme from move 3 persists almost through the whole game. White exposes his queen to attack with a dodgy opening. Black than spends the rest of the game persecuting the poor queen. 10 of black's first 29 moves are direct attacks on the white queen. Then it's a case of sweeping up pawns. A fascinating game. |

| kevin86: After a series of exchanges and sub-exchanges,black ends up with rook,knight,and bishop against a sole queen. Add a few extra pawns to the mix and the queen becomes busier than a one-armed house painter trying to work around a hornet's nest. |

Seems as though once Paulsen lost any and all support for his battered Queen and the contest being pretty much decided, he soldiered on, dodging and swatting at Gunsberg's hornets with his Queen only because it was a Queen. Bit stubborn, that. |

| Once: Tolkien based much of his Lord of the Rings on Anglo Saxon and old Norse poetry, so it's not too surprising that there are links to Scandinavian names. But if you've seen the films, just trying saying "Mordor" without rolling your r's like an Old Vic thesp - Morrrdorrr. |
