It probably fails to some move I am not seeing at this point. In any case, even if it works, it is longer and less beautiful that the solution presented above. |

 | | patzer2: Even if Hort had to wait for the third time to be the charm, after missing the wins with 27 Rg4+ and 29 Rg4+, as noted by <Honza Cervenka> and <notsodeepthough>, the solution to today's puzzle with 30. Rg4+ initiates an instructive double attack combination. Of course with 26...Bb5, instead of the blunder 26...Ra7?? pointed out by Honza, Black could have held the position. Note that the try 30. Bxb5 axb5 31. Rg4+?? (better is 31. Rxb5 with a small White advantage) 31...fxg4 32. Rb4 gives Black the win after 33...Rfa8  . |

33.Rxg4+ Kf8 and black stays a whole Rook ahead. This example is a clear proof of an important chess truth (which often is forgotten by intermediate players): always check ALL the candidate moves! |
