Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-09-15  zydeco: 13....h5 is a huge mistake overlooking 14.Nh2. "Ivkov could have scored the point at several stages of the game, but somehow faltered each time. Black's escape verges on the miraculous," writes Portisch.

Ivkov saw a winning line with 18.Kh2 Nfxh5 19.Nh6+ but decided on the cautious 18.Re3 "thinking that the position offered more."

21.Kf1 is a waste of time.

Ivkov recovers from his lost advantage to reach a drawing position at move 51 but errs with 51.Rd4 instead of 51.Ref4.
