Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-24-06  GlassCow: Hillarious final position. It's impossible to get a draw from Karpov in an endgame, even when the pawns and pieces are symmetrical!
Feb-24-06  Karpova: yes, he has everything: material balanced game, symmetrical pawns, active king, bishops of opposite colours - but he's completely lost!
Jan-22-17  Albion 1959: Of course, no defence against Bg8 that removes all the remaining black pawns on the kingside. Karpov had to wait ten years to avenge his loss to Ivkov at Caracas back in 1970!
