Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-24-05   Jack Rabbit: <Rook v. Two Connected Pawns> from <55 -- Rxa1>

The Black King is four moves away from the White's Pawn mass, but White is still four moves away from coronating. That sounds like the firm basis of a drawn game.

White has nowhere to hide from the lateral checks.

Jun-07-07   einneu: Kamsky might have won if he played 51.g5 instead of 51.f4. With 51....Rh2! black puts white's king in front of his pawns, and Gata loses a tempo to free the "g" pawn route. That's the tempo he misses for the win,as the pawns could have advanced alone, without their king's help.
