Honza Cervenka: Quite bizarre Pawn structure of black. Six Pawns on the sixth rank cannot be seen every day.

37...Nc7 leaving the Rook d8 unprotected started troubles of black. In move 42 Vera could have taken the Pawn a5 without fear as after 42.Nxa5 Ra7 43.Re3 Nf6 44.Nc6 Rc7 45.Ne7 the Knight escapes without harm. But Vera's attack on Pf5 was sufficient for scoring a full point. If 47...Kg5, then 48.Nxf5 Nxf5 49.Rxf5+ Rxf5 50.gxf5 Kxf5 51.Ke3 and white wins easily thanks to passed h-Pawn, if 47...f4 48.Rxf4+ Kg5 49.Rf7 Kxh4 50.Rxg7 Kxh3 51.Kf3 Kh4 (or 51...Kh2 52.Rh7+ Kg1 53.Rh6 d5 54.Rh5! ) 52.Rh7+ Kg5 53.Rh5+ Kf6 54.Rxe5 Kxe5 (54...dxe5 55.Ke4 ) 55.Ke3 etc.

CapablancaFan: After 51. h4! no matter how Samisch responds he cant save his rook (due either to a knight fork or discovered check). Nice endgame play by Ms. Menchik against a very strong opponent.
