Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-24-06  SniperOnG7: 26...Be6! is a great move because it sets up 27...Ng3+ 28. Nxg3 hxg3 29. h3 Bxh3! 30. gxh3 Bf5 31. Kg2 Rxh3! 32. Kxh3 Rh8+ 33. Kg2 Rh2#

Another great KID painting by Kasparov. As they say, it's all in the variations.

Sep-24-06  SniperOnG7: BTW I calculated the above variation all in my head :D ... yes i know it's all pretty much forced but plz don't burst my bubble :p
Sep-24-06  Nanhua Zhenren: Interesting. Why is "your" variation forced you mean (btw, it's 30...Bf4, not f5)? It seems pretty solid to me. In fact, have you found any way out of it for white? If not, why do you think black played 27...Bxc4. after all? Are both equally solid?
Sep-24-06  SniperOnG7: <Nanhua Zhenren> If Kasparov continues with his plan, then White gets a chance to sneak in Bxe6 after which White can defend against the mating attack by Bh3
