  plang: "Kaspy's last KID" - This is definitely not true. At the very least he played the KID later in 1997 against Kramnik.

This game is another example of the dangers for white in the Samisch of falling so far behind in development. dreev was fortunate that Kasparov let him off the hook. Perhaps ..20dc opening the game for the two bishops would have been more promising.
