The beginner: Good play by Mr. Keene in this game.

White has control of the only open file throughout the game. Keene's knight are both placed on the edge of the board at move 29, but somehow he manages to use them for closing off the c file, and then he even wins a rook, i am not sure why white wouldent try to save the rook, with for example 41 Ra1

Well it still wouldent look to good for white, but at least he will be material even here, anyway it was proberly just a matter of time before black would win here, those two knights have grown from being placed on the side of the board, into two monsters.

ray keene: it was an interesting sacrifice but i think he had overlooked my defence with ---f5-otherwise whites b on e6 gives him an unstoppable attack

The beginner: Ahh now i understand thanks for explaning :)

Im amazed how you can calculate so far ahead, when i first looked at this it just looked like he dropped the rook for nothing, but he has actually a pretty good attack, if it was not for that litle anoying pawn move f4-f5, you wouldent be able to stop mate on g7, or g8.
