Philip W Sergeant played 15... Ng4 16.f4 Qc7 17.Ra1 c4 against Capablanca in a simultaneous exhibition in London, October 13, 1913, winning in 63 moves.

Capablanca repeated 14.Nxe5? .. in a simul in 's-Hertogenbosch, October 23, 1920, against C.H. Piccardt, this time losing in 53 moves (14... Qxe5 15.Rxa5 Ng4 16.f4 Qc7 17.Ra1 c4 18.h3 Qb6+ 19.Qd4 Bc5 etc).

One wonders what improvement, if any, Keres had prepared.
