Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-22-08  openningspecialist: This position isn't that resignable. Qd5 snatches a pawn back and really only a pawn down its often not that hard 2 fine pertepetual.
Jul-22-08  MaxxLange: Winning the a pawn will not help much. 36...Qd5 37 h4 Qxa2 38 h5, etc., looks like to me
Jul-22-08  MaxxLange: Huh, is how I type that maybe? I mean, White is winning.

Black also had to consider his postage stamp costs...

Jul-31-09  EstonianHunter: Wouldn't white be lost after 20. ... Nf8

An Englishman: Good Evening: <EstonianHunter>, in his book The Art of Attack in Chess, Vukovic gives 20...Nf8; 21.Qh5+,g6 as a win for Black. This is why White has abandoned the Moller Attack.
Feb-20-13  backrank: According to Reinfeld (Keres' Best Games of Chess), Black resigned after 31 Qf5+.

The remaining moves seem to be a variation. I doubt Keres would have played 36 Qxg7 instead of the stronger 36 Qxd6.

fredthebear: For the record, <Phony Benoni> has indicated that this game appears twice in Chess Review:

March, p. 69 [Game 61 / 357] Chess Review 1935

and

November, p. 173 [Game 153 / 155] Chess Review 1940

Apr-12-21  sudoplatov: The comments are correct, 20...Nf8 seems to win for Black. The move 20...Nf3 isn't in Chess365's database nor is this game.

Phony Benoni: Both of the references in Chess Review end with <31.Qf5+>.

It is not unusual for analysis to be tacked on to the end of a game.
