al wazir: What happens after 23...Rh6 ?
Jan-11-15  yiotta: <al wazir>White continues as in the game !? 23...Rh6 24.Bxf7 Nxf7 25.Nxf6 Bxf6 26.Rxf6 Rxf6 28.Qxf6+ Kg8, and without an engine, I believe White is winning.
Jan-11-15  JimmyRockHound: Yiotta. I looked at that line with an engine (Rybka 2,2) and it says it's dead equal.
Jan-11-15  yiotta: <JimmyRockHound>Thanks...it was quite a battle.
Jan-11-15  morfishine: After an excruciating & comprehensive file-search, its concluded that neither Bert nor Ernie play chess

*****

Jan-11-15  morfishine: But in all objectivity, the file-search revealed that both Bert and Ernie had played checkers sometime in their past; there were also obscure references to both having played crazy eights, kick-the-can and a short time spent dabbling in crossword puzzles

*****

Are you talking about these two guys, or the Sesame Street Characters?

Jan-11-15  morfishine: <thegoodanarchist> Neither, just being sarcastic

Domdaniel: Oh gawd ... just think about it, <thegoodanarchist>. About 134 years ago in Berlin, B. Lasker and E. Varain play a game of chess. And 134 years later, somebody says that Bert and Ernie had played checkers (etc).

And you want to know if this is serious?

I like <goodanarchy>, but this is ridiculous.

Jan-12-15  kevin86: The steamroller effect of the two rooks will end it quickly.
