  tpstar: In the KGA with 3 ... d6/4 ... h6, one important feature of 7. Nc3 is how 8. e5 cannot be met by 8 ... d5? due to 9. Bxd5. Therefore 7 ... Nc6 is correct, but on 8. Re1 Bg4 threatening the Pd4 is superior to 8 ... g4!? 9. e5!? de?! (9 ... gxf3 10. ed+ Kf8 11. Qxf3 Qxd6 is survivable) 10. Nxe5 Nxe5 11. Bxf4! as demonstrated by my silly game below.
