Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-11-07  frank124c: An interesting example of the Muzio Gambit plus a Bishop sacrifice thrown in for good measure. The threatened Knight mate that made Black resign is itself a thing of beauty.
Oct-11-07  Whitehat1963: How about this for a continuation: 14...d5 (giving the king an escape, the queen another layer of protection and threatening the knight all at the same time!), but then: 15. Nd6+! (forking the queen). But let's say white doesn't see it and plays 15. Nf6+! instead. Now 15...Kf7 (forced) 16. Qh5+ Qxh5 17. Nxh5+ (discovered). Now what?
Apr-06-12  master of defence: <Whitehat1963> And if 14... d5 15. Nd6+ Kd7 16. Nxf5? What black can to do?

NM JRousselle: I thought the Muzio had long since been analyzed as a forced draw. Maybe the player of the Black pieces wanted to try an "improvement".

Tabanus: Another reason for divorce :/

This could be Willy Pettersson vs Axel Nielsen, who knows?
