Dec-07-04  Knight13: <Swindler: <aw1988> How is this winning for White, how can he make any progress?> He said he THINK that the final position is winning for white. It's 80% guessing so he dosen't know either.
Dec-08-04  ArturoRivera: Carter has two games in the database, both games played as black, in both declining the king's gambit, in both with his king in the 8th rank.
Dec-28-04  aw1988: Actually, upon further consideration, this is indeed a dead draw.
Apr-05-05  athyn: Here's an interesting couple of names:

T Bush vs A Carter, 1976

Apr-22-05  howardtheduck: The most interresting thing about this kibitz is the definition given by about beer and fermented beverage in general. I might add that the first recorded fermented beverage of all time was hydromel, honey "wine" discoverd a few hudred years before beer. The game is weird so we might say they were drunk while playing...
Apr-24-05  Bacchus: The Royal game should be played while consuming the best wine not beer.
Jul-12-05  fgh: "The battle of the drunks". Serious pun potential :-)
Jul-30-05  teme: This is stupid. Did carter get drung and played for the beer?
Jul-30-05  Anna Wrekzia: Maybe it was Sly Stallone,a little chess break between filming "Get Carter", had a few suds in between punching Micky Rourke?
Sep-26-05  olaf4lena: Whenever I play beer I go for a draw
Oct-31-05  chesscrazy: nice game
Mar-15-06  ChessPieceFace: what they really need is to have one of those games where it's "Beer vs. the World". talk about potential chaos.
Jul-01-06  sixfeetunder: Beer played rather well for a liquid substance.
Sep-25-06  TrueFiendish: I think beer was playing for a draw from the start. Not quite sure of the purpose of beer's 13.d5.
Feb-04-07  Mac3: If playing Beer it is better to resign than play at all because ancient wisdom records that Beer is a brawler!

Such wisdom will keep Beer happy and your face handsome! Who cares whether you had to toss the game!

whiteshark: I thought 'Whow, <34.Rc6+>, Beer is playing for a win'.
Nov-10-07  alec94x: Two wins of mine over a strong player rated in the 2250 range on Fics over the Summer I don't get to play many players this good alot online but it's a treat when I do even if I lose or get crushed by them :( the first game I don't get how he could have blundered with 14.Qxe7 (maybe he's a fast blitzer use to moving quickly?] ok 15.Bxf6 unavoidable I didn't recapture the piece because I didn't want to open up my pawn shield to him I was just being very cautious.

Once again with the Black Pieces this time a Two Knights defence I caught his Queen flat footed he wasn't unable to move it because of the checkmate threat he had to exchange it why he resigned.

HeMateMe: What does a collectible 'Billy Beer' beer can (President Carter's brother) go for on Ebay? There is money in beer cans, some rabid collectors out there.
