Right you are. More plausible is the follwing sequence: 13...Qc8 (instead of 13...Nxc3) 14.Qxa8 Nxc3 15.Bh6 Qe6+. Surely Korchnoi played 13...Qc8 or even 12...Qc8.

  Benzol: <nikiml> <nescio> "Korchnoi's Chess Games" gives the score as 12...Qc8 13.Qxa8 Bxc3+ 14.bxc3 Nxc3 15.Bh6 Qe6+ 16.Kf1 Nxd1 17.Bxf8 Qf5 18.Nf3 Qb1 19.Qb7 Ne3+ 1-0
Sep-22-09   nescio: <Benzol> Thanks. That settles the gamescore, but I presume the result isn't 1-0, but 0-1, as Black gives mate in a few moves.

Would 18.f3 have been better?

Benzol: <nescio> Yes it should be 0-1. Don't know about 18.f3 but 15.Rc1 is suggested as being better than 15.Bh6 which occurred in the game. The continuation given after Rc1 is 15...Nxa2 16.Ne2 Nxc1 17.Bxc1 Qe6 18.Qxa7 Nxc6 19.Qe3 Qd5 with an unclear position.
