 | | Nezhmetdinov: This is a superb performance from the big man. Petrosian is the most refined of all champions. |

 | | Nezhmetdinov: <Everett> Refined as in pure - he makes few, if any, nods to the overpraised idea of "Universality" in chess, but does his best to turn every position into HIS type of postion - he forces his opponent onto lines that suit him and his, at times, baffling manouevering power. His best games make an impression upon me not unlike art and, much as I love the games of a Spassky or Karpov, they do not seem to have been as perfectly wrested from their opponents, made their's alone; Petrosian does this for me. |

| Mar-26-06 | | Brown: <Nezhmetdinov> That is an excellent idea you espouse. Do you find Tal's work the same way, but (obviously) not on as deep a level? |

 | | Nezhmetdinov: <Brown> I like Tal - but he is the love of my childhood - i am 34 next week and Tigran suits me now. Perhaps Capablanca before I enter my dotage? |
