Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-28-08  Poulsen: 31.g4! is a nice shot - after 31.-,fxg4 32.Be4 blacks problems becomes apparent.

Typical Larsen-win.

Oct-28-08  Harvestman: So, you're playing white against Korchnoi. Obviously, you will open with 1.g3

Then you spend 4 moves in the middlegame redeploying your knight from f3 to d5, whilst your opponent is busy stripping away most of the protection from your king and apparently setting up for an attack (look at the position after 24 moves).

Then you show that it is the black King that is not safe, and exchange your strong knight for an advantageous ending, that you duly win.

Classic Larsen. New game for me, and an immediate favourite.

Feb-17-15  babakova: 34...Rf7 wrong rook.

...Rf8 instead and it isn't clear what white can do to break through. If he tries to pile with either Re2 or Rf2 black has Qh4 with sufficient counterplay.

Oct-02-16  ColdSong: Nice win,Korchnoi wasn't exactly easy to handle in that time.
