Aug-26-06		rudysanford: Interesting. Kotov almost manages to mate after 32...d4. But not close enough. Very alert play by Ragozin. Had to look at moves 30 -> end a few times before I saw the total beauty of 33. Bxe8, freeing the Q to guard g2 and still threaten Qxe7#.

Mar-04-12		backrank: Kotov chooses a rather disadvantageous line of the Orthodox defense and is punished accordingly. Very entertaining play by Ragozin from move 24 on, however. By move 29, Black just manages to escape a queen trap, only to succumb to an even more beautiful finish, which is, in essence, a lesson on the power of the pin (30. ... Qxe5 31. Qxe5 and the pinned rook can't recapture, while for the same reason, it can't take the white queen from move 32 on).

Mar-04-12		mistreaver: Nice point is that 28... Be7 succumbs to Nf7+ followed by Bf5 and wins the queen.
