Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-14-05   sneaky pete: "In Kotronias-Yilmaz, Pucarevo 1987, White repaired his opponent's pawn structure by 18.Bxb6? and deservedly lost in the end." Tim Harding in today's Kibitzer at http://www.chesscafe.com. The 1-0 here is clearly wrong, but it took me a few nanoseconds to figure out how black wins. After 62.Kxf5 .. he should not play the obvious 62... Kc5? 63.Kg6 Kxc4 64.Kxg7 b5 65.Kxh6 .. = but 62... Kd6 and if 63.Kg6 Ke5 64.Kxg7 Kf4 etc.
